Seriously!?!?!

Hello friends and family! I CANNOT believe I let this blog go this long. Why didn't you yell at me? My last post was in 2008 and it is now 2012. AHHH! Rex (yes the baby in most of the pics on here) will be 4 in a couple of weeks. Wow how time flies.

Well...I can't promise I'll do better because I've done that before, but I will make a conscious effort in 2012 to post more to this blog than I have in the past 3 or so years.

Until next time...

Again...my how time flies...

Well, Rex is now 8 months old and has quite the personality. Mackenzie still loves him to pieces (I know this won't be the case forever).

Rex is moving around, but not crawling. He either rolls, spins on his belly or does this crazy inch worm thing on his back. He's funny! We have been fighting ear infections for about 5 weeks now. He is currently on the third antibiotic and the doc says that if this doesn't work and/or he gets another ear infection we are going to be sent to an ENT for tubes. At this point I'd welcome tubes! These ear infections are making him uncomfortable and they are keeping Tony and I from a good nights sleep. I will say though Rex has slept through the night for 3 nights in a row so far so I'm optimistic that he's feeling better. Either that or I'm drugging him up enough before bed that it knocks him out for 10 hours. HA!

Mackenzie is already complaining about school. She's in the third grade. I don't remember hating it quite this early, but maybe I did. She is doing well though. Reading really good, doing pretty well in math, and loves art and music. She's also in gymnastics right now and is doing quite good in there as well. She is in the level 2 class, which has proved to be a bit more challenging, but she is hanging in there.

Below are a few new pictures of the kiddos. I hope everyone is doing well! Until next time...

Summer has come and gone...

I can't believe it has been about two months since I blogged last. Time sure flies!!

Well a lot has happened over the last two months...

Rex has learned to roll over, his two bottom teeth have broken the surface and he is starting to sit up pretty well on his own. He's eating cereal and baby food now as well as formula. He's growing up so fast.

Mackenzie has learned how to ride her bike without training wheels this summer. She is also involved in gymnastics and loves it. She is growing up so fast as well.

Here is a recent pic of the kiddos. Until next time...

Update!

Wow...where has the time gone! I can't believe we are already "mid-year" 2008.

Update on the kiddos...Mackenzie is wrapping up school this week (as is Tony...he is probably more excited than she is). She will be a big 3rd grader next year. Can you believe it? We're hoping she'll grow some over the summer so she won't the smallest kid in her class for the third year running. Rex had his 4 month appointment on May 22nd. He weighed 15.6 pounds and was 25 inches long. He's a growing boy!
Here are a few pictures from the past month...it has been exciting!

Not a fan of tummy time!!

Kiddos and Spanky

Rex LOVES the exersaucer! This is Mackenzie's old one and I think she is reliving her "childhood" with Rex. She plays with it too. We even have found her sitting in it spinning herself around.

This is how he sleeps most of the time. Ha!

Such a Cutie!!!
(with the big drool stain on his shirt...we think he is teething)

We have cereal!!!

We've started Rex on rice cereal once a day. He's not a huge fan, in fact it is a bit of a struggle to get him to eat it.

In it goes...

...out it comes.

Chatter Box

Yesterday and today Rex has been quite the chatter box. He is "talking" a lot and responding to you when you talk to him. We swear he said "Uh Oh" last night. I'm sure it was just a coincidence but it was pretty neat anyhow. He is getting so big! Below are a couple of pictures from tonight.

Rex

I've been home sick with Rex this week. He has an upper respiratory infection. Even through all the hacking and coughing he still played and smiled. Gotta love babies!!
